End of the Year Important Information

Dear Team 15 Families,

The end of the year is here!  Can you believe it?  The year flew by!!  We just want to remind families about all the activities and events that are coming up and share a few new things.  

Important end of the year dates:

• Field Day- June 7th (Wear white t-shirt)
• June 13th- Acton Discovery Museum Bubbles Program
• Field Day Rain Date- June 14th
• Book Fair- June 14th (If we end up having Field Day on the 14th, this will change)
• June 15th- Open House (8:30-9:30)
• Move Along Day- June 20th
• Last Day- June 21st

Field Day is Wednesday

• Students should wear a white t-shirt (it can have images/ words)
• Bring a water bottle labeled with your child's name
• Dress for the weather (It might be chilly- students can take off layers if they get hot)
• Wear sneakers
• Students should bring a snack in a paper bag.  
• Lunch- If students are buying lunch, the cafeteria is making bag lunches for the kids. The  Lunch options are Bagel lunch, turkey, peanut butter or peanut butter and jelly sandwich ONLY!  Bag lunch with popcorn, carrot bag fresh fruit or craisins.   Please go over these options with your child as I need to let them know tomorrow how many people are buying what.  

Field Day Volunteers

• If you volunteered to come to Field Day to help out with our class, please arrive by 8:45 at the latest.  We will leave to walk to the High School about 9:00am.
• Please bring a backpack to help hold water bottles, snacks, and sweatshirts.
• All parents are welcome to come!  

T-Shirt for Special Project

• A HUGE thank you to Meg Flatley, Abby Brogan, and Meaghan Smith for purchasing t-shirts for all the kids!!!!!!
• Families don't need to bring in a t-shirt.  We will send home the t-shirts that families have already brought in.
• Students will be wearing these t-shirts at the Open House.

Open House

• Our end of the year Open House is on June 15th from 8:30-9:30am.
• We hope all families can come!!!!
• Families will be seeing all their child's work and taking a lot of it home.  There will also be a slideshow and the students will perform 2 songs.  
• Students need to bring in a baseball hat and sunglasses.  Please bring them by Tuesday, June 13th.  We need these for the Open House.  Thank you in advance!!

Countdown to the End of the Year

• If you haven't already shared the events with your child, please don't!!!!  
• We blow up 10 balloons and stick a note with each activity in.  Everyday, we pop a balloon to find out what the activity will be for the next day.  Kids get excited to pop the balloons and find out what the special activity will be for the next day.  
• We shared the activities with families in advance so you know and can plan ahead.

Recycled Materials

• Thank you to the families who already donated supplies!
• We still need more recycled materials.  Please donate if you have any!!  Thank you!
